Need direction.
I’ve got a 2003 Mercury 225efi. Just picked this engine up few months ago and it had no oil tank with it. Never have owned a Mercury, 40+ yrs running Evinrude. Always deleted oil injection on those motors.
Where I am now, I plugged off port from oil pump to block. Connected oil pump to the oil reservoir making a loop. Boat idles and runs good up to 4000 rpm then I get constant alarm beep and goes I guess into limp mode
Question is. Can this oil injection system be deleted on this motor ? I’ve read this system is very good. If I had the tank in place and oil line ran I guess I’d go with it but I don’t and here I am. Any knowledge given will be sincerely appreciated.
