Oil hose leak

2002 5.0 MPI A1 G2 Ser #OM345638: My oil hose, the inner most hose closest to the engine, that goes to the remote oil filter is weeping oil. At idle probably a drop every 30 seconds. It appears to be weeping through the “fabric” part of the hose, not the crimp. It looks as though this may have been caused by the hose adjacent to it rubbing against it. Does anyone know how difficult this is to replace? Any advice would be appreciated.

Any suggestions on how to do it? I'm willing to buy tools. Special line wrench for hard to reach places? I suppose it would be wise to replace both hoses anyway plus removing the outer one may make access easier

looking up the serial number has the rubber hose in the middle of the preformed metal ends. Remove the outermost oil line first at the engine . Last one I did I had to remove the oil filter assembly and place it in the vise then remove the oil lines.

Thanks for your reply Doc. I know it has to be replaced but how risky do you think it is running it this way?

Well if it goes bad and you lose the oil, you`ll hear the knocking before you look at the gauge,so...................................

Since I don't currently have access to the boat can anyone tell me the size wrench needed on those hoses? I suspect a flex flare nut wrench is gonna be handy. It would be great to pre-order and have at hand. Thanks for the help!

Just remembered I hadn't posted back my results. I gambled and bought a metric set of line wrenches before I drove to the boat. I gambled wrong. They're 7/8" for the big one and 3/4" for the other three. Luckily on my set up I was able to get them tight enough with standard wrenches. Access was a bit tough but manageable. The only trouble I had was the adapter wanted to turn somewhat with the nuts but looks like I'm ok. Ten hours later no leaks. Thanks for the replies.
