Ocean Runner 150 missing a beat

the motor is a 1997 Johnson Ocean Runner 150. The motor starts perfect and idles fine. The problem is when I start to get into the range of about 3200-3400 the motor stumbles for a second and starts going again. I can get it up to about 5200rpm's but it stumbles on the way up at an inconsistant rate. I've ruled fuel issues out of the equation by changing the fuel lines, bulb and a new racor plus a new tank of fuel. I checked the pickup and everything in between. I was wondering where to start. I've replaced the plugs and wire and the gaps are to spec. I did take a look at the coils and it appears the grounds are almost burnt. I added a couple photos. any input is appreciated.

You checked the fuel system....did you check the carbs? When you are stumbling along to higher speed, what happens if you push in on the key? Does it pick up? What about if you manually pump the primer bulb? Don't run it near that speed too much or might just blow the engine if you don't know what is happening.

Problem solved after I removed the fly wheel. I saw the stator and it was oozing something so it got replaced with new coils and she runs like a champ again.
