O-ring on driveshaft?

1998 Johnson 130 ... I dropped the LU to change the water pump. I noticed no o-ring on the driveshaft just below the splines. My other motors had one. The schematics don't show one. Should I put one on?
 
This is a 98 130 looper, right? O-ring is probably located inside the butt end of the crank. These loopers are not like the old crossflows.
I will look it up...if no following post, the the o-ring is inside the end of the crank.

EDIT:

Yep, o-ring in end of crank. Look up on the crankshaft and piston section....items #7 and #8.
Same as my V6 loopers.
