well ive taken the

well ive taken the lower end apart trying to get to the water pump, as i was directed i removed starter so as to access a screw/clip? behind started which holds shaft. I do see a sorta locking device with 2 like 10mm screws, one facing to forward of boat and the other faces me looking at it from the starter area , i would need a long extension and swivel to get to one and a long open end/box wrench to get to the other. would this be the item i need to disconnect to finish dropping the lower end for starter replacement?
