not peeing

i have a 30 mariner 1990,changed the impeller and the thermostat.put the ears on bottom end it peed a bit then sputterd then steam then peed again with the preasure of the water hose. then i used a garbage can and got nothing,except hot air, going out of my mind ,used compressed air on all the holes made sure everything was clear,rcan not figure it out

Revisit the impeller work...gaskets and plate may be installed wrong. Verify the water tube top end is seated properly.

thanks for replying went to yamaha dealer and bought a new impeller the aholes at mercury sold me the wrong impeller motor works fine now
