Not moving forward

I have a 75hp mercury outboard. I put it in the water today for the first time since buying it. Once in the water I put into forward and it wouldn't move forward. I put in reverse and it did go in reverse. I pulled back out and when I got home hooked the muff up to make sure it was turning and it does in forward and reverse. Anyone know what this might be?

Miss adjusted shift linkage (or, if the LU was off for an umoeller change, the shift's not lined up right).

I assume the prop hub is not slipping, since it would slip in reverse as well, but you might want to check it.

I took the Prop off today. When I put it in forward gear the shaft is spinning freely still.
