Not getting spark from plugs

Last time I started the motor it ran fine came out the next day no spark from the plugs what are the quickest and easiest things to check

I tried it it still doesn't get Spark is there a way to test with a voltmeter so you say it's a 85 and its a Yamaha motor

Yamaha had a deal with Mercury and built outboards for them and marketed them as Mariner.2HP to 60HP two cyl models. If effect the Mariner was older Yamahas painted Mariner colours. 682 tells the HP,C is the model,S is short shaft,058438 say it's '85 manual.
I would start at the plugs with an ohm meter, test plugs cold, though I doubt if the two would fail at same time.
Test plug leads for continuity.Test the coil, here's a link, quicker than me typing http://www.pochefamily.org/outboard/coils.htm .A DVA meter is needed to test the switchbox.
I am assuming it is a C.D.I. magneto and not a flywheel magneto. If it is flywheel, check, clean and gap the points.
