Hello new here so I got an 87 merc 2.5 inboard and died on the lake when I went to testing I found the disturitor rotor was not turning I pulled the dist. And found the cam was not turning is this motor a Interference motor or can I change the the timing gears? And be back on the water with out rebuilding motor

Ayuh,..... Pull the motor, that ones got serious problems,....
