WHen cold starts right up. Runs great. Rode it around on the lake today for 2 hours at full throttle. WOT 5,000 rpms. Let it idle around the lake at 1,000 rpms for about 15 minutes did great. No missing backfires nothing. Once we shut it off though it won't restart. THe best we could do is to put ther fast idle up and start it by pushing in the choke. Will run then but as soon as put the idle lever down it stalls. Let the motor cool cranks right up runs great. THe water comes out the pee hole steady at all times. Compression 130 all cylinders great spark. ANy ideas?"

i would decide if its electric

i would decide if its electrical or gas problem before i did anything...put an inductive timing light in the boat and check spark on it when its hot and failing...also try pumping the bulb instead of throttle and choke if it is a fuel problem..it may be as simple as a air leak somewhere in fuel line..but the first decision is what to work on..fuel or spark..

WE checked spark when it would

WE checked spark when it wouldn't start and it was excellant. Someone told me it could be the carbs needing rebuilding. I am thinking of replacing the entire fuel and bulb as well. This boat sat since September with a full tank of gas in it. Was not started again until a mon th ago when I bought it. I ended up draining the old gas out and putting fresh fuel in it.
