My 1975 evinrude went on a down hill ride backwords on the trailer. Guy was moving my boat from dock to driveway at cottage I was staying at.
He did not lock down onto ball properly and did not attach safety chain. Boat popped off of tractor went backwards down a steep gravel driveway about 40 feet and slammed into a tree. Broke the tree but stopped. thankfully no one was hurt, transom damaged but now fixed. Motor will not start it did start once but would not give any power sounded like it was missing and was bogging. Stopped running and would not restart. Motor did take a hit, tree hit side of motor on cover, motor took a good jolt.
