no spark

I have a 1987 mercury 75 that has recently been fouling spark plugs. I have been removing them and cleaning them or just replacing them almost every time out. Until today I had spark at the plugs, and now I do not. The motor cranks just no spark. I have looked for loose wires but can't find anything.

You can test the low speed (and high speed) windings with an ohm meter. An open circuit is bad, but I've had one that tested more or less good screw up on me.
