No Spark

I have a 1989 rinker with a OMC 3.0 cobra. The boat has sat for a year now i have no spark. I replaced points, condenser and coil. I've Checked for proper voltage, voltage drop and anything to do with powering ignition system. There is one little box listed as a shift assist I have not replaced. I was wondering if this box could be the reason for no spark? Is There a test for this part? (and yes the distributor does turn) Help if you can thanks.

to eliminate the ESA for testing, simply unplug it

I'm sure OP has a kill switch. Most likely ESA!!

Hey guys thanks for all the helpful advice. I appreciate the fast response to my problem. It turns out I couldn't see the trees because of the forest in the way....yeah bad anology. Anyways here's the problem, when I would tighten the wires on back of the points set my condenser wire would turn just enough to ground on the bottom of the distributer. So the original reason for loss of ignition will never be known thanks to my simple mistake. Thanks again. Maybe this can save some money for someone else.
