No spark

"Hi, I have what I believe to be an early 60's evinrude, its an 18 hoarse, and it says fastwin on it. It has an electric start which i broke the key off in, so i tried to put a new one in, i realized it wouldnt work so put the old one back in, but now I am getting no spark, even when i pull it can someone please guide me in the right direction?? Thank You."

"well,first,i would repl the ign sw...but,if u want to ck ur spark,find the 2 blk wires,heading up under the flywheel area,...disc one of them,try again...."

"yep..........do a good tune up o n it,...ck compression...now would be a good time to get it in good shape...if,comp is good.look at that other coil,very well,it needs to look very good,no hairline cracks,etc."
