No spark

Hey guys new to the site.brief

Hey guys new to the site.brief history bought a 125 envinrude motor model#125283r from someone 3hrs away spent 800.00 told me it ran great.brought it home to a dealership to have a tank test done they put a big D.O.A sticker on it said there was no spark.They check the plugs and wires and they were good.They told me it's going to cost 1000-2000 to fix. not a happy camper.My question is what kind of money am i realy looking at to troubleshoot this problem with cost of parts.Is there used parts out there i could buy.Any help would be greatly appreciated

"Those pulse packs are available from NAPA under the Sierra brand name for less money then was previously quoted. Also Mallory Marine shows them on their website as well. Do a search through the posts on this web site as it as been discussed many a time as to how to test those pulse packs. Once you get the motor running be sure to test the charging system because a faulty charging system will burn out a pulse pack quickly.
