No Spark to my Johnson70

Can any one help me fiure out why the motor isn;t getting any spark?? It's turning over, it's getting gas...but no spark!!!! What should I do???
 
Disconnect the black/yellow wire from the pack and see what happens. If it has spark you got a prob in your wiring harness, if not it's on the mtr.
 
Ok, I unhooked the Blk/yell wire and still no spark? How di I check if I'm getting power from my Stator? And how do I check to see if my power pack is working correctly? I don't want to buy a bunch of parts that are not needed?

Please help..much appreicated??:eek:
 
To do this yourself you'll need a good volt/ohm meter with a DVA adapter and an OEM factory service manual.
 
Bob..I have all that and I bought a manual from Seloc. I tested the stator..that doesn't work, I see sticky stuff leaking out of it..book says thats a sign it's no good. the voltage reg. is not working..the red wire was melted..that must of burnt out witch made the the stator fry. (my theroy) But the pack i THINK IS FRIED. I want to test that too
and mke sure that is fried to before buying that too. How do I test that (power pack)??
