looked over all the wires ...the kill switch is in working order ...just cant figure it out...maybe the stator? if so how can i test it when the engine wont start

The stator has a series of coils that have a range of resistance one can measure with an ohm meter. If any circuit is open, the stator is shot.

An electrical circuit (or the component itself) is considered broken if the circuit is "open". Stators are a series of coils in a circuit. Each coil should have a small amount of resistance. If it is "open" the circuit is incomplete or broken.

Outboard Ignition . com or CDI electronics has test procedures. You have an analog type meter? I like the screen compared to the digital readout. The instruction that come with the meter should describe an "open"
