I wonder if you would be able to help me out, I have a 1972 65 hp Johnson and I am getting spark to 1 and 3 but not to 2, i have swapped coils 1 and 2 around and then got no sspark on either, just 3, I pretty sure that i will have to replace a coil but what else would prevent spark. When coil was replaced as it still would not spark

"i have the same engine with the same problem, im out of town for the week so i cant even work on it. im a mechanic, formerly marine, but i havent any experience on these ignition components. so im looking for the wisdom to flow from cyber space"

"if you search the site, there is a lot of reference to the ignition pak and other spark related items as i browse this site for 72 thru 75, 3 cylinders engines, i think Joe Reeves gives out alot of info on this subject for other 65HP owners. the 115 , 85, and 65 ignitions are probably tested the same way."
