i have a 1988 bayliner with a force 50 outboard motor, i got a new battery, starter, stater, rectifier, spark plugs, and carb. i spent so much money on this freakin boat and i haven't even had it in the water yet,i got no spark and i tierd of waiting.please someone help

disconect the black wire with the yellow tracer. Then make sure you do not have a mercury switch. It would be on the stbd side of the motor with a black wire going to it. I stops the motor from starting when it is trailer position. Unplug it. let me know how it works out. give me ser number and i will look on merc net for you.

the serial number is 1502 and the model is 507x8d,when i put the cdi on i noticed a black wire with a yellow strip and i wasent sure where to attatch it,first i grouded it then i put it on the block to magnito.i dont know where the mercury switch would be,but i see a little box behind the carb with two yellow wire on each side.not sure what that is.maybe its the kill that everyone keep talking about
