Greetings, I'm Greg and I'm new.
I have a 1997 Mercury "Force" 40hp, 2 cyl engine, on my pontoon.
I put an inline tester light on each spark plug and it appears to have no spark on either one.
Before I start spending money...
Are the coils so co-dependent that they would both fail at the same time?
Is there another component that feeds them both, that could be at fault?
At first I thought it was no fuel, but no.
Any advice is appreciated.
