No spark after impeller replacement

I recently replaced impeller on 93 Mariner 2 stroke outboard. I now have no spark. Does anyone have suggestions as to what I may have messed up? The s\n is 0d183987

Did you pull the tether lanyard and not turn the switch back on? Did you pinch the tiller kill switch wires?

I checked the kill switch. The on off switch is on. I'm using with tiller handle can't find any lanyard. Is there any fuses or fusible links on this motor?

The rectifier is bad would that cause no spark?

I got it fixed new rectifier did it. Thanks a lot

That makes no sense at all the rectifier has nothing to do with spark.

It made no sense to me either. The rectifier is just for battery charge. Maybe a loose wire or a short that was moved when I was installing rectifier?
