"Hello all.My son bought my old engine from the guy I sold it to.The engine sat for about 3 yrs.
It does run strong at times.It has a intermiting problem, at low speed it drops two cyls on the port side.At wot its great.any idea what this problem is.The yr of the engin is in the 80s.TY

"first---sitting for 3 yrs...clean the carbs,...they need to be immaculate..jets,orifices,etc....use a flashlite,use wire,..use carb cleaner....then,if it still does it,..do a thorough tune up,...de-carb,...and comp & spark test,at time of failure..inst a new WATER PUMP KIT!...chg lower unit oil....and get a FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL..u will love it!...that does not mean,...seloc,or clymer..."
