no spark 1997 50 hp

i have a 1997 johnson 50 hp j50tleds 2 cylinder that would sometimes have a spark to the plugs i changed the power pack and it started then about an hour later i tried again but it had no spark.any help would be appreciated

Look at the wiring plugs and the pins in them.--------------------Take readings on charge coils and senser coils that are under the flywheel.--------Use ohmmeter ( flywheel does not have to come off ) and report the readings.
