no spark 1976 johnson 35el76g

1. Try disconnecting the kill switch. Make it an open circuit.

2. Check the points. If either point set fails there will be NO spark. At all.

3. Check driver coil, mag plate wiring, and feed wires to high volt coils, 2, mounted @ cylinder head.

To check for spark, spin motor, (spark plugs out) with electric starter. Be certain to provide good ground for whatever type of spark tester or spark plugs you should use.

Problem is I don't know which wires are the kill switch. Its black and yellow at the switch itself (which is brand new) but in the motor itself the colors change so I'm stumped.
