No spark 1973 stinger

Good morning was running my 65 hp outboard and it just died has no spark in all 3 cylinders what does a rectifier do ant suggestions???

The rectifier is part of the battery charging system.-----It changes ac power from the stator to dc that can be stored in the battery.-----------------It is the magneto under the flywheel that makes the spark and not the battery.
