No Power

I have a 1976 Mercury 150 hp #1500. It runs fine at low speed (10 miles per hour). Every time I try to accelerate it starts to go and then suddenly feels like it slips out of gear. Any idea on the problem

I can drive the boat around at 10 to 20 miles per hour. It slips when I try to get up to full speed. I though I wouldn't go anywhere with a spun prop?

depends upon how the bushing 'died'.....best to put on the spare prop and take the old one to the shop for the 'repair'
