no power to dash and will not start.

Took my OMC cobra 4.3 out on river and minutes later blew belt on alt. Went back put a new one on and everything was fine for 15 min and then engine died and have no power to dash and radio but trim motor powers up. Batt tested good connections clean. Fuse panel under dash has no power. Any Ideas?

Engine is a 93 omc 4.3 . I hit the reset and still did not work.

Does the alt. pulley turn free and smooth by hand? was it 15 minutes with a properly tensioned belt ?
