No pee from 2008 Yamaha 8 hp

I put in new impeller in my 8hp 2005 Yamaha outboard and I'm still getting no pee. Took off foot and put hose on intake pipe and it is getting good water around sleeve and it is coming out of prop exhaust pretty good. Ran motor for ten minutes with water muffs on and block never got hot. Also took out thermostat. Tried to flush out pee tube with air and water and still no pee...help!

I have a 6hp Yamaha, and I have to poke wire up the hose just about every trip out. I now have a long piece of stainless steel wire attached to the transom bracket.

Run it w/the pee tube removed from the engine to see if it squirts water out...if it does replace your pee tube...probably full of spider nests.
