My 2002 Galaxie 2100 fish and

My 2002 Galaxie 2100 fish and ski model was bought with out a owners manuel. My problem is with the control handle.IT is a single control. How do you get it to a neutral postion to be able to race or throdle up engine from an idle? It has a netural postion between reverse and forward but no ability to rev engine when I start it? Volvo 305 with SX drive. Any help is needed. Also I contacted manufacture and they have no extra operator manuels. Thanks Stan
 
what type of controls are they

what type of controls are they? Mine you pull the handle outwards and then you can trottle it forward without putting it in gear. If you take a picture of it and post it maybe we can figure it out.
