"I have an Evinrude 225 with t/t and a 25" shaft. There is no model #, but a tag on the motor has the number 395531 with the number 225 beneath it. I am hoping that this is a serial #. Could anyone tell me what year this motor is please? Its parts time and it would really be a big help. Thanks.}}"

I was able to get the model #

I was able to get the model # from the plug on the back of the engine as per advice from Joe Reeves on a previous post. Thank You Joe. This motor is an '86 Evinrude 225. Is there any advise you guys can pass on about this motor? Thanks}
