No gas carb

"I have 1986 mercury 4 horse ob.It was running and then stalled, it wouldn't start after that, JB said try cleaning the carb again, which I did.I tried to restart, but still wouldn't run. I took the cover off the fuel bowel, to see if any gas was getting into the carb, the bowel was dry,I pumped the primer bulb again,it seemed that I was forceing it. And gas did get into the float chamber. I notice that the needle seat valve was not moving up and down,I took it out and recleaned it and still no gas.I also notice that the primer bulb wouldn't stay firm . anyone have any ideas? Thanks Bud"

Check the float and make sure

Check the float and make sure it isn't saturated. If it is it will have to be replaced. Make sure it is adjusted right. While you have it out gently pump the primer bulb. Gas should flow very easily.

Pull the fuel line off from th

Pull the fuel line off from the carby and pump the primer and see if fuel flows out? if not remove the fuel line going into the fuel pump and do the same.

You should find the fuel blockage


The carby needs to be cleaned out properly as well
