"I did the winterization thing
"I did the winterization thing on my 1976 Mercruiser 470 the other day and an odd thing happened. When I removed the drain from the freshwater nothing came out but about a tablespoon of water. I poked a paper clip up there to make sure it wasn't clogged, but nothing. I hadn't used the boat for about 3 months, but have used it this season. It did get down in the mid 20's a couple nights that week which is why I did the winterization a little earlier than last year. Should I be worried? Could it be because I had not used the boat for months? Most years I use the boat up until about September then winterize about a month later. What could have happened to the fresh water? Thanks"
