No clearance left between top of tiller handle and bottom of bracket assembly...motor mounts?

Hi,
My tiller handle gets caught up and rubs against the top side of the clamp assembly AND I’ve got play between the motor/bottom cowl and the shaft assesmbly. Everything seems tights.

Wondering if it’s the motor mounts that compressed just enough to permit this to happen...thoughts? Can be seen in video here: https://youtu.be/Xwtct3e5pF8

Usually if there is no tilt pin or the wrong tilt pin they will rub like that. If you tilt the engine up slightly it wont rub anymore, try it...

you are right. There is a pin. If I put the pin up one notch all is fine. I have not installed on boat though. I guess as long as I don’t need pin to be in last notch all good.
