Nissan NS2.5a outboard motor

I bought a new to me NS 2.5a outboard for my inflatable dinghy. It starts on the first pull no problem, but it dies after about 10 minutes of running. Then it will restart a minute later and run about 5 minutes, then start again a minute later and run for a couple of minutes gradually running less and less time. Does anyone know what could cause this?

Could be a lot of things... Overheating, insufficient fuel flow, thermally-defective ignition component...

You can diagnose the systems, or just guess until you have changed a lot of parts and have it working.

Is it cooling OK? Is the telltale flowing? Is this motor so old that it has points? If so, fnd someone you don't like, and give it to them.
