I would like to tweek the idle speed down to about 800 rpm. apprieicate any help you could give me

Press the key switch while idling. That shifts between idle speeds (700/800/900). Full info is in the owner's manual, which you can DL from http://www.nissanmarine.com/tech_talk/owners_manuals.html see either p. 34 (A2 manual) or 41 (B manual), depending on whether you have the A2 or B model (you didn't specify).
