Nissan 4hp engine cooling ?

I have a 4hp Nissan engine and have a question. No water comes out the cooling port just steam. What causes this? How do you remove the plug port? Why won't it cool

I assume you have a 4-stroke motor. What model? If the water pump is shot, and not pumping, steam/exhaust will come out of the telltale port.

It is a 4 stroke 4 HP Nissan engine,. Where is the pump? It it the little black box in the engine compartment with electrical wires hooked to it?

No, that's the CD (ignition module). The pump is located on top of the lower unit, and is operated by the driveshaft. It's accessible after you lower the LU. The water pump will be the same regardless of whether you have a 4A2, 4B, or 4C model. You may want to get the motor to a dealer to have the water pump serviced.
