Hi, i have a Nissan 18hp 2 stroke from the 90s. It has a reoccurring issue where it just Goughs 1 or 2 times and then shuts off when it has been running for about 20-30 minutes (on high rpm). So if anyone has an answer to what may cause it, it would really help.

Could be almost anything. Likely a fuel issue or an overheating electrical component. Does it restart easily?

When you restart it, do you have to pump the squeeze bulb? If so...it could be a weak fuel pump.

Well, it takes a few attempts on cold starts and also when it shuts off because of the reason I said in the original post, but otherwise it starts flawlessly. One of my good friend said that it can be because of debris in the fuel tank or fuel line, could it be that.

It just crossed my mind that it also uses a lot and i mean A LOT of fuel so do you know how to fix that problem or is it just normal for 2 strokes to use a ton of fuel.

We really need your actual model number.
How much is a LOT of fuel. Yes, 2-strokes are less efficient than 4-strokes.
Good idea to start at the fuel tank and VERIFY everything is clean and sealing all the way to the carb.

I'm quite sure it says NS18C2 on the side but I'm not exactly sure. And it uses about a quarter liter fuel every kilometer (I don't know exactly but that is about right). I'll make sure to put an update on the model number here when I have the possibility to check.

Running that real quick on my flight slide rule that comes out to us Yankees about 9 or 10 miles per gallon.
