Nikki carb fuelmix setting

"i am currently in the process off timeing my v/p 430b (4.3gl) v6 engine, after having 2 new spark plugs fail on me and one ht lead.

i am unable to find anywhere the amount of turns required to set the fuel mixture, the maunal mention nothing, and i have contacted various dealers(V/P) with no answer.

Could any one please help

"If you don't find the information, you can always use the traditional methods of 1) adjusting the idle mixture by vacuum (obtain maximum vacuum) or 2) turning the idle mixture screw to the right until speed begins to drop (too lean), then counterclockwise until it drops again (too rich), then set the screw in between the too rich and too lean settings."
