"while checking my plugs today

"while checking my plugs today i suddenly notice that there are slight differencies in the electrod point, even thou all the plugs are identical codes NGK BR6FS and the box shows 4323.

i have recently order a couple for stock and that ones also has the smaller cap.

can any advise me if i should change the plugs to match electrod point or dont bother, or is there a better plug that i could install.

"I think what you are seeing is how each manufacturer uses a different technique to achieve the same heat range for a given application. This may explain why they appear to look different.

As long as there is no piston/chamber interference, the important issue would be matching the correct heat range.

Heat range of a spark plug is

Heat range of a spark plug is generally controlled by the reach of the plug's electrode into the combustion chamber. Even though both plugs have the same P/N and are made by the same manufacture it would appear to me that they are different heat ranges.

"On some engines its marked on the top of the flame arrestor (at least it is on mine)

Volvo is really annoying, i.e., not really consumer friendly with their "Volvo P/N" spark plugs...

Use their cross reference guide."

"thanks Robert A, followed link realy helpfull good site i think i am going to try and get the K & N E3 plugs or the Champion marine 5942 plugs, im a great beliver in haveing a high quality ignition system inc spark plugs and the either one look perfect, and haveing a gas drinker of a engine which i like and tradional carb.

Good plugs might do justice to the v6 engine.
