I just bought an 89 150 Johnson. The powerhead has had a complete re-build, bored 30 over, etc, etc. The PO says he has only ran about 10 gallons of gas through it since the re-build, at varying throttle, and not wide open. I'm thinking it should still need more break in time. Can anyone offer some suggestions for just how much longer I should continue to treat this as a brand new engine? Also, should I be running 50:1 or 25:1 mixture for break in? The PO ran 50:1.
