Hi all,
My name is Mark and i am an Expat thats been living in Calabria Italy for five years.
As per normal with a newbie, ive hit a problem, now before we go any further i have looked every where, spent all mornnig getting no where fast and stumbled upon this forum of which i hope will become a valuble resorce to me and one that i can share my rebuild of my "RIB"
First off, the motor that came with the boat......i think its very,very old
. i cant find any info on it, not for the want of trying mind.
I cant take a pic at this time but what i can tell you is this:
Make: Mercury
Colour: Creamish white with Mercury graphics
Power:12HP (Thats whats on the cover)
Engine: 2 cyl 2 stroke
ID plate stamped "122H" Serial No.1848
So my question is: How do i go about identifing it, its year and whether it is indeed a 12HP, someone has said it is only a 10?
The thing is*i need some parts and being as im no Marine mechanic, im a tad stumped and buggerd if i know where to go*to get the bits that i will require, that if they indeed exsist.
Any help with this will be much appreciated and i will be uploading photos of the RIB and the engine rework so as i can get your feed back plus allow a little story to possibly develop
