Newbie question about stern brackets

I picked up this old pleasurecraft for cheap and then go this motor cheap as well. The motor is a 75hp Johnson V4AL-16D. motor runs great but I think I'm missing part of the bracket that attaches to the transom, since there are no holes or clamps on the stern bracket. I am a complete newbie when it comes to boats so I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. I have spent hours online trying to find a bracket for this motor or at least figure out how its supposed to attach. Is there another plate that bolts to the transom that this slides into? In the last picture it looks like that tab has been sliding on something. If so, where can I find this bracket? If I can't find a bracket, can I use stern brackets from another motor? Maybe something like this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/323145-3228...015-/351485783883?hash=item51d62f6f4b&vxp=mtr

Actually, the one I posted is the "old style". The bracket were later replaced by adjustable ones. Type the numbers in the parts finder here at marineenge and it will show the updated part. Either style will work. They were pretty universal on many Johnsons and Evinrudes until they were eliminated after a certain date.

Many shops would have a box full of those brackets for the older motors.---------Just need to find an " old time " mechanic and shop !!!!
