If you see new VRO pumps for older model Johnson outboards at great discounts it is because they are knock offs and defective. I have bought 3 in the last 4 months and none of them work. 2 of them leaked massively right out of the box and the 3rd doesn't pump at all. Bought 2 on ebay and 1 on Amazon for around 160 which is cheap for a new VRO. Someone has dumped these defective pumps on the market so buyer beware. If the price is to good then you know your in for trouble
