Ordered a new F70 trim tab anode 67F-45371-00-00. Actually, I ordered this: amazon.com/dp/B0DNJKCV87?ref_=pe_125775000_1044873430_t_fed_asin_title
...which claimed to be a replacement for 67F-45371-00-00.
I didn't notice until it arrived that while it was the same size, it was shaped differently. The original (on the right of the picture) has a channel in the "front" which the new one doesn't. That channel lines up with a hold in the outboard that I assume water flows through and then "through" the anode's channel, aiding in its function.
The new one doesn't have a channel, but has instead an angled "ramp" for the screw hole instead of the flat face at the end of the channel on the original.
Does anyone know whether: a) That's correct: Yamaha changed the shape; or b) Not the right part. I need to find the right one.
