Just bought a 1991 Playcraft pontoon as a project. It has a 1990 Mercury 40HP motor that says "CLASSIC" on it. I found the serial number on it which is oc226261 but the tag doesn't have the model number. This thing hasn't ran, for about 10 years when parked and having tinkered with other engines I have NOT done so with outboard motors. I'm wondering where I should start so as to see if this thing will start and run.
