new Tiara 3100 11hrs on 6.0 crusader engines with water intrusion

2013 tiara 3100 coronet 11hrs on 6.0 crusader engines. coolant in 4 of 8 cylinders. told this is a know problem with manifold. cursader wants to replace manifold, but not do anything with bottom of engine. should I worry about future problems with this new engine? what about the other engine, should I ask cursader for extended warranty. need help.​

Crusader is one of the better OEMs when it comes to warranty service...so, assuming you follow the claims process, why not let them work with your dealer to resolve the issue...it never hurts to ask for a warranty extension. Just realize that unless it comes in a written form, it isn't worth anything. You can always remind your servicing dealer of the power of the internet and assure them you will visit their booth at the upcoming boat shows if there is anything less than cooperation on their side...

If the repair is made and the oil changed 2-3 times after the engine will be fine. I had that happen on my last boat twice and both times chenged the oil and filter 2 times and the ran fine for 8 years 500 hours with no issues. It is still fine 3 years later with the new owner. If you get extended warranties all the better.
