new power head

just put on new power head on 2000 70 johnson . and would like to test temp switch ,can anyone help on doing this , i can ground tan wire and horn goes off .but would like to do all test.

if you ground it and it gos off,it works.what other tests do you want to do?

does the tan wire go to the temp switch?Im sorry i guess i did not read it rite the first time.

thanks , thats the way i have always done it on the single tan wire ones this has the black white kill down wire i think it is , i just what to realy make sure that switch works , thought maybe there was more test to do , as much as that power head cost. again thanks
