I bought a new ignition switch for a 1987 Mercury 90. It's a Mercury Quicksilver 54211T designed to place my A-54211A2. The wiring letters on the back of the new switch don't correspond to some of the old letters and there are only 5 contacts instead of the 6 on the old one.
Old letters: CBMAMS (yes, two Ms),
New letters: ADFGBE but the G is right next the the F with no contact for it.
Old wire colors:
C=yell/blk
B=red
M=2 blk/yell wires
A=2 pink wires
M=1 blk and 1 greyish blue
S=yell/red
The ignition is a push and turn for full choke.
How do I connect the old wires to my new switch?
