Hi everybody, I just took my heads off. I was having a over heat issue. 1988 150 txcca . Boat ran great never had it apart before. Mostly salt water. Original owner. I went with oem gaskets. I under stand that the oem gasket have a built in sealer. ( Shiny appearance ) they are suppose to have some writing on them ? I.E. top etc....
my question is the gaskets I bought here does not look like the example of like same oem gaskets sold elsewhere. They are black and shiny. The ones I got is a bluefish color with no markings of oem. The edges are not cut clean and seem like cheap aftermarket knock offs. The packaging was wrapped in Johnson evinrude bpr. But I'm not sure what to think.
Does anyone know if these are legit. If they are , do they have the gasket sealer built in like the shiny black ones ?
