"The cooling system is brand new. I watched the temp guage for the first 5 hours running it and it ranged from about 150-180 operating between 3-4000 rpm. I noticed one spike to about 200 at idle under load, but that dropped right back down at increasing the throttle.
I noticed today that the coolant overflow resevoir is full at cold while there is NO fluid in the resevoir with the radiator cap on it. I had to add about 2 quarts to refill the sytem and there was easily that much coolant in the bilge.
I ran for about 15 minutes today after refilling and it seemed fine.
Is this a problem or just a burp in the system while it works itslef in?"
